Firepit Night with the kids

Posted: 9th April 2011 by Neil in Patio-Pergola, Spring

Spent the day cleaning the front yard. In the evening, I set up the fire pit so we can do S’mores. It was awesome! Got some pretty cool relaxation and quality time with the kids. :)

We’ll do it again next week!!!

Helping a friend …

Today, I went to Chicago to help a friend move some of her plants and at the same time, dig plants that she no longer needs. She gave me a more than 10 year old Clematis Etiole Violette. The root ball was huge! We had to divide it since I can’t lift it. The diameter was 2 ft. She also gave me Clematis Jackmanii, Russian Sage, Alchemilla, Forget-Me-Nots, another Clematis and 3 other plants but I couldn’t recall their name.

The plants in her yard have started flowering especially the crocus. Crocuses(different varieties) are everywhere on her garden. I should buy bulbs next time.

Got home around 4:30pm. I was able to plant all of the plants she gave to me. :)

Just some updates for today. The Balsamina Impatiens are fast growers. The Salvia Lady in Red are now showing true leaves. At the very far end, the Salvia Officinalis are growing too but I may need to relocate it since it’s leggy.
